The restructure was in response to the 2008 IS Help and Support Review.
The restructure combines IT User Services and the Library User Services Division into a single User Services Division.
The new division comprises six sections:
- Help Services Section (sustains an integrated helpdesk and helpline for staff, students, visitors and applications in Library, e-learning and IT services)
- Operational Services Section (provides second-line IT support and services)
- Learning Services Section (delivers skills development courses and e-learning management)
- three College-oriented consultancy teams (College-specific support provided by IT, Library and e-learning specialists)
The restructure involves around one-third of IS staff members.
