Staff wanted for brain study

Researchers are looking for healthy, right-handed University employees to help with a study on cognitive ability.

The Western General Hospital’s Brain Imaging Centre is using magnetic resonance imaging to map the fibre tracts in the brain to correlate brain structure with cognitive ability.

Volunteers should be aged between 25 and 65 years, should not be on any long-term medication and should not have had cranial surgery.

Study participants will undergo a one-hour MRI scan.

The process does not involve ionizing radiation or the use of drugs.

Travel expenses will be provided.
