Geology conference and lecture

The School of GeoSciences is to host an international geology conference and accompanying public lecture.

The conference will take place from 6-9 September at the Carlton Hotel in Edinburgh.

It will be themed on ‘Supercontinents, Superplumes and Scotland’.

Professor Ian Dalziel from the University of Texas will also present a lecture on ‘Supercontinents, Scotland and the Scots’.

This will take place on 6 September at Our Dynamic Earth and will be followed by a wine reception.
