University and SRUC joint statement

After significant consideration, SRUC (Scotland's Rural College) and the University of Edinburgh have agreed to build on their existing strong relationship and to continue to work closely as independent institutions.

SRUC Chairman Lord Jamie Lindsay said: “SRUC and the University will continue to focus on strengthening their already very productive relationship. Areas where the institutions’ collaborations are growing include veterinary medicine. SRUC values the opportunity to build on the well-established alignment and looks forward to the continued advantages for both institutions.”

Professor Sir Timothy O’Shea, Principal, said: “The Court and the University have welcomed the opportunity to strengthen and grow the successful collaboration with SRUC and look forward to continued close working.”
