RSE Fellows named in all colleges
Staff from all three colleges have been honoured by the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE).
Twelve academics from the University have been named among 56 new RSE Fellows.
They join a distinguished Fellowship of more than 1,600 members in disciplines spanning the arts, business, science and technology. New Fellows are elected each year following a rigorous nomination process.

Alumnus
This year, the RSE reinforced its multidisciplinary purpose by increasing the number of new Fellows named from the arts, business, professional and political spheres.
These include bestselling author Ian Rankin, an alumnus of the University who studied English Language & Literature from 1978 to 1985. Mr Rankin also received an honorary doctorate in 2003.
