Childcare vouchers: changes ahead

Colleagues are reminded of upcoming changes to the University’s Childcare Voucher Scheme.

Staff who wish to use childcare vouchers after June 2015 will have to switch to the University’s new voucher provider or sign up with a UK Government-provided scheme when it commences in autumn.

Options and actions

Colleagues who wish to stay with the University’s Childcare Voucher Scheme will have to re-register with the new voucher provider, Edenred, which will replace Sodexo.

New University Childcare Voucher Scheme members must also register with Edenred.

The registration window is 1 May-12 June.

From the autumn, staff will have the option of joining the UK Government’s new Tax-free Childcare scheme.

Once Tax-free Childcare commences, other existing schemes will be closed to new members.
