In the delivery, the fundamental mechanics of concrete structural members are described, leading towards the establishment of detailed procedures for design in accordance to members respective functions. The role of design codes in interpreting observed and theoretical behaviour is explained and demonstrated through the Eurocode methods to design concrete members.
