Course Summary
The course provides an introduction to written and spoken Modern Standard Arabic for students with no previous knowledge of the language. PLEASE NOTE: This course is designed for complete beginners with no previous knowledge of Arabic of any kind, either as a first (native) or second language. Should there be any doubt as to a student's proficiency in Arabic, they must inform both their Student Advisor and the Course Organiser for Introductory Arabic Language, who may advise them to switch to a different course. All students take all elements of assessment, including the examination. Auditing (Class Only) is not allowed.
Course Description
The course provides an introduction to written and spoken Modern Standard Arabic and is designed for complete beginners. The aim of the course is to equip students with skills to read and write the Arabic script and with a basic grounding in grammar and vocabulary of Modern Standard Arabic.All students take all elements of assessment, including the examination. Auditing (Class Only) is not allowed.
