Veterinary Medical Education Division

Research and development

The VMED team are actively researching in a number of themed areas outlined below. Our aim is to advance veterinary education by adopting an evidence based approach. Our team is contributing to this evidence base through the work we do, much of which is collaborative. Please do get in touch if you are interested in collaborating with us on any aspect of veterinary medical education.

Learning and teaching

Learning and Teaching has been a key area of research and development activity for the division since it was established, and we have made key contributions to the ever increasing body of published evidence around many teaching and learning practices.

Assessment and feedback

Feedback (and related assessment) has been an area of research and development activity since the division was established.

Student experience

At the R(D)SVS the student experience goes hand in hand with academic learning. VMED has a strong role in promoting and ensuring that our students have a student experience that is fit for purpose.

At the R(D)SVS we are committed to admitting the best students who demonstrate the potential to benefit from, and contribute to, the world class veterinary training programme we offer and to flourish and thrive within the veterinary profession.
