Projects

The team are also continually developing models/simulators for veterinary teaching. As there are not many models/ simulators available to purchase for veterinary teaching, students and staff try to be creative to make models and simulations as realistic as possible.

If you have any ideas for models that we could create, please get in touch and let us know. We welcome any ideas for models/ simulators that could assist students to develop their skills.

We look at new technology and assess how effective it is for our learning environment. A recent project incorporated the Surewash system in a project evaluating ‘Using gesture recognition system for hand hygiene training

We also collaborate with other departments, such as the Digital Education Unit, to help bring our ideas come to life!  A recent project was SADPaWS where a Doppler flow measurement simulator was created to teach the measurement of systolic blood pressure.
