Privacy statement: Registering for an event
How we use your information when registering for an event.
We will use your personal data to allow us to process your registration, because by registering for the event you give us your consent to do so. We will use the contact details you provide to communicate with you about the event; ensuring that you have the information you need to participate allows us to fulfil our contract as the event provider. We will also use your contact details to ask you for feedback about the event because it is in our legitimate interest to measure satisfaction as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.
We may also use your information to track your prospective student journey because it is in our legitimate interest to monitor the effectiveness of our activities. To do so we will keep the information you provide when booking and details of the event(s) you have attended for up to two years. This is with the exception of special category data (e.g. health information such as dietary or accessibility requirements) which will be retained for up to three months after the event. Please note that attending information events will have no impact on the outcome of any current or future application.
Live online sessions will be recorded and recordings may be publicised online as it is in our legitimate interest to make these available to participants and other prospective students.
If you have given your consent to receive further information about the University or future events, we will keep relevant contact and preference data for up to one year. You may opt out of this at any time.

Gecko Engage

Dotdigital
