Student financial support

Access Bursaries help new UK students experiencing financial difficulties to take up their place of admission at the University of Edinburgh. The Bursary scheme is only available to new undergraduate students who are UK nationals and commencing their first undergraduate degree.

Additional Costs

In addition to any tuition fees charged, additional costs include equipment and protective clothing: Specialised equipment and lab coats (estimated at £150). Extramural study (externships) of 38 weeks will also incur additional accommodation and travel costs. Limited grant funding may be available from the University, but it unlikely to cover the full costs of extramural study.

Transport to and from the campus

Using public transport to and from the campus will cost around £525 per year, which the School will subsidise proportionally in line with your year of study. Further information on how to travel to and from the campus is available here
