The Gladys Ogilvy-Shepherd Interventional Radiology Suite
This surgical theatre is a sterile, surgical suite and associated induction room for the dedicated use of the IR service for its patients and procedures. This room has recently been renovated specifically with the needs of the IR service in mind and includes dedicated specialized storage space for all needed equipment so that everything is close at hand and easily accessible.
StarMedTec Auriga QI Laser System
This laser system provides us with a range of applications, including lithotripsy of bladder and urethral stones, debulking of tumours and masses, and laser ablation of ectopic ureters, among others.
A mobile C-arm fluoroscopy unit allows for visualisation during nearly all IR procedures. Our C-arm provides instant viewing with video recording.
High definition endoscopy
If fibre optic scopes are used in the IR procedures, it will be using our high-definition endoscopy system. Great image quality ensures for maximal treatment accuracy.
