Widening Participation Programme runs on Campus
The Easter Bush Campus was pleased to recently host a visit of fifty children from local High Schools, as part of The University of Edinburgh's Widening Participation programme.
Vets from the Internal Medicine service joined colleagues from across the campus, in welcoming local children from Beath and Newbattle high schools to learn more about the work that goes on at the Campus.
The fifty children met five clinicians, who were representing our clinical hospitals and ran workshops for small tutorial groups. The groups got the chance to talk to the vets and have a taste of what it is like to be a student at the School.
The day was a huge success, with both children and vets willing and excited to work together in all of the workshops. The vets were delighted to have such enthusiastic visitors and are already looking forward to inviting the schools back next year.
We'd like to thank all of the children who visited and were fantastic ambassadors for their schools.
