Harnessing the Genetic Revolution

We work closely with geneticists in Roslin to understand how genes regulate the appearance of dogs.

Using our state-of-the-art imaging facility we can reconstruct the shape of dog skulls. We can then compare the genes in animals with different skulls sizes to understand which genes are important in causing dogs to have breathing problems.
