Dick Vet Rabbit and Exotic Practice

Pet Owners

Your pets are very important to us and we strive to provide them with the highest standard of veterinary care.

At the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies our purpose-built hospital boasts excellent facilities and we are extremely well equipped for providing excellent veterinary care for your pets.

When you arrive at the Hospital for Small Animals, you will be greeted by our Reception Team who will notify the veterinary surgeon of your arrival.  While you wait for your appointment, you can sit in an area to the right of the main entrance which is specifically for Rabbit and Exotic patients.  This allows your pet to wait away from noisy dogs and cats, helping to reduce their overall stress levels.

When it is your pet's turn to be seen by the veterinary surgeon you will be brought to our consultation room.  Our rooms are fully equipped with all our useful, exotic-specific, equipment.

At the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies we strive to teach and lead the next generation of veterinary surgeons into the best possible practices for Rabbit and Exotic Animal medicine and surgery.  When you visit us, don't be suprised to see our students in the consultation room, they will love to hear about your pets as much as our vets do!

If your pet requires to be hospitalised, we have our own specialist wards, to make their stay with us as comfortable and homely as possible.

Should further investigation be required, our state-of-the-art hospital has top of the range equipment including specialist dental equipment, in-house biochemistry and haematology, endoscopy, video otoscopy, ultrasonography, digital radiography, computed tomography and access to a MRI scanner.

The exotics team also have their own purpose designed surgical theatre and surgical preparation room.
