Following the School’s excellent progress during his first term in charge, an agreement has been reached between Dean of Veterinary Medicine and Head of School, Professor David Argyle, Head of the College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine, Professor Sir John Savill and Principal of the University of Edinburgh, Professor Sir Timothy O'Shea, to extend Professor Argyle’s term as Head of School for a further five years.

This will provide stability for the School as it looks to continue its progress as one of the world's top veterinary schools.

I am delighted to have my term of Head of School and Dean extended for a second term. The school is leading the way in education, research and clinical service and I am incredibly proud to be part of that.
