Healthier animals with better quality of life

The JMICAWE aims to achieve healthier animals with a higher quality of life, free from misuse and abuse.

The Centre is collaborating with international vet schools and welfare organisations to support and improve their animal welfare education.

We are currently working with partners in China and India, to develop an international animal welfare seminar series and provide accessible on-line animal welfare education and continuing professional development (CPD), which will enhance animal welfare education, not only to those trained veterinary surgeons who receive the knowledge first hand, but also through ‘the train the trainer programme’ which will allow us to educate vet nurses, those working with animals and those involved in agriculture.
