Employing Our Graduates

The Vet School and the Careers Service are keen to build strong links with all potential employers and EMS partners.

Veterinary graduates

Advertising vacancies

You can advertise your vacancies free of charge on the Careers Service vacancies portal MyCareerHub.

This is the best way to target your vacancies for current veterinary students and for recent graduates. Details of how to advertise a vacancy can be found on our website: http://www.ed.ac.uk/careers/employers/advertise-your-job

  • You only have to register once. You can quickly and easily add your vacancy details.
  • If you are happy for students to approach you for EMS (Extra Mural Studies) short placements, please include this information on your profile when you register.

If you have other graduate vacancies e.g. finance, HR, or internships and even part-time work you can advertise them through MyCareerHub too

We are very happy to answer any questions you have about advertising and we have a wide range of ways to support you to build your profile amongst students and graduates. You can find details on our website: http://www.ed.ac.uk/careers/employers  or you can contact us here:  https://www.ed.ac.uk/careers/employers/contact-us

Vet Careers Fair

PROPOSED DATES FOR DIGITAL CAREERS FAIR ARE 29TH MARCH TO 2ND APRIL 2021.

WE ARE SORRY TO HOST THIS LATER THAN NORMAL BUT THE DISRUPTION CAUSED BY CORONA VIRUS MEANS WE'RE HAVING TO PRIORITISE AND ADAPT PIECES OF WORK WITHOUT SIGNIFICANT LEAD TIMES.

The Vet Careers Fair is organised each year by the Vet School. If you are keen to attend this - or be involved in any seminars, guest lectures or other curriculum activities at the Vet School - you can contact them directly. Please copy them all into your request.
