UNCOVER's Brilliant Women

Tuesday March 8 marked International Women's Day, so there's no better time to share perspectives from two of UNCOVER's brilliant women:

Earlier this year, UNCOVER's Dr Gwenetta Curry (Lecturer of Race, Ethnicity & Health at the Usher Institute) was featured in the first of a series of "Athena SWAN Inspiring People" discussions. Gwenetta spoke about her experiences of being an expert in the media as a woman of colour. You can listen again to Gwenetta here:

In March 2022, Professor Evropi Theodoratou, UNCOVER's Co Lead, was interviewed forĀ Edinburgh Impact, and shared her work with UNCOVER as well as her impressive achievements in many other areas of health research. Read Evi's interview here:

Our UNCOVER community is made up of volunteers at all stages of academic life. At the heart of what we offer to students and recent graduates is the opportunity to grow and develop their skills: not only by doing practical, hands-on work on systematic reviews with real-world impact, but also by working alongside and being supported by great role models, and eventually stepping up as mentors and team leaders in their own turn. With the guidance of Evi, Gwenetta and the other wonderful members of our Core Team, and many fantastic members of the UNCOVER community at all levels, we have every hope that our community will continue to flourish and grow.
