Sharing successes and challenges

The meeting provided the opportunity to showcase some of the important research RESPIRE is undertaking to reduce the morbidity and mortality from respiratory diseases in India.

As well as discussing the progress of the projects, the DHSC delegates were interested in hearing about the challenges faced when carrying out research in the local context and their thoughts on sustaining impact.

It was a wonderful meeting yesterday and we appreciated the way the funder has initiated such discussions to understand the issues on the ground. We were also glad to meet the other NIHR grantees and know their work in various areas of health.
