Professor Amanda Amos OBE Retires
After 35 years with The University of Edinburgh, Professor Amanda Amos OBE, retires.

Professor of Health Promotion
In January 2021. Amanda Amos, Professor of Health Promotion, retired from The University of Edinburgh.
Amanda helped shape health promotion research and education in the Medical School, Usher Institute and beyond and made major contributions to tobacco control research and policy. Amanda began working at The University of Edinburgh 35 years ago, and has had a great impact, particularly around tobacco cessation policies, through her distinguished career.
Celebration event
To mark Amanda’s retirement a virtual celebration was held which included messages from colleagues and an interview between Amanda and Professor Sarah Cunningham-Burley.
We wish Amanda every happiness in her retirement.
