Scottish Cancer Registry and Intelligence Service (SCRIS)
The Innovative Healthcare Delivery Programme (IHDP) and National Services Scotland (NSS) are collaborating to modernise the Scottish Cancer Registry and create the Scottish Cancer Registry and Intelligence Service (SCRIS).
This 2 year project, which started in May 2017, will enable clinicians to access patient information from across NHS Scotland to support cancer services and enable improvements in patient outcomes for those affected by cancer.
A major objective for the SCRIS project is to create a national platform to provide access to timely cancer data. Existing centrally held data will be made available via a national reporting and presentation platform in a secure environment, only accessible by approved users. Access to individual patient level data will be restricted to clinicians involved in their care.
