Edinburgh Clinical Trials

Patient Public Involvement

Patient and public involvement (PPI) in research allows valuable knowledge and experience from patients and the public to improve the quality and relevance of research.

Patient and Public Involvement in Research means research being carried out ‘with’ or ‘by’ members of the public rather than ‘to’, ‘about’ or ‘for’ them.
