Edinburgh and Lothian Virus Intervention Study in Kids: A randomised controlled trial of hypertonic saline nose drops in children with upper respiratory tract infections
To investigate whether the use of hypertonic saline (salt water) nose drops administered to children with symptoms consistent with acute viral Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (known as the ‘common cold’) reduces the duration of symptoms when compared to children managed using standard care.
