ECTU has a portfolio of data linkage studies.

Elderly Care Assessment Team (ECAT) study

We linked the ECAT cohort to TRAK admission/discharge dates, location and diagnosis codes, and SMR01 data.

Long term outcomes for those with type 2 myocardial infarction

We linked the MI cohort with details from SMR01 of all admissions after date of index event, and the cause of death for those deceased.

SHARE

We provide SHARE (Scottish Health Research Register ), the nationwide NHS Research Scotland initiative, with monthly metrics of co-morbidities within the Lothian participant cohort. It indicates the number of suitable Lothian participants who have expressed an interest in getting involved with new and ongoing research studies. A ready pool of pre-consenting participants is an invaluable resource when it comes to developing new treatments and cures for a wide variety of health conditions.
