NMAHP Research Futures

Research Futures is an innovative funding scheme to support early career researchers for NMAHPs employed by NHS Lothian.

This award is funded by the Nursing and AHP Directorates of NHS Lothian and Edinburgh and Lothians Health Foundation. It supports NMAHPs wishing to pursue masters or doctoral research training or to undertake a mentored research apprenticeship of up to 26 days with an established research team in NHS Lothian or higher education institution.  Research Futures provides support principally for study expenses including tuition fees.

Ten NMAHPs have been awarded Research Futures support in previous rounds (3 at Apprenticeship level and 7 at Doctoral level).  

The application process for Research Futures is currently closed. A new call for applications will be announced in Q1 2017.
