Biography

Jorge Luis Crespo Suarez is a psychologist and public health practitioner with professional experience in public healthcare settings in Chile and Cuba.
Research
Jorge works on exploring medicalisation processes in care settings. He is concerned with understanding mental healthcare practitioners’ engagement in these processes and discussing the potential social implications. His PhD project explores how psychologists are participating in, contributing to or resisting the intensification of psychiatric medicalisation into primary care in Chile.
