Hadewych Honné is a Dutch PhD student in Medical and Health Humanities with a background in Science and Technology Studies. Hadewych completed my BA and MSc at Maastricht University.

Hadewych's PhD research explores the roles of rare disease patient organisations in promoting the accessibility and availability of orphan medicines to patients. More specifically, Hadewych seeks to understand how these organisations use a variety of resources and work with different actors, including pharmaceutical companies and policymakers, towards achieving these goals. Hadewych's research interests further extend to publics’ participation and expertise in science, and the ethics of social and biomedical research.
