Being Human Festival

Our researchers contribute annually to the UK Being Human Festival

Being Human is the UK’s national festival of the humanities, led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London in partnership with the Arts & Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.

Researchers at the Centre - especially those involved with the Beyond Bodies and Beyond Sex themes - are regular participants in the festival. It's an opportunity to present topics and discussions based on our research in non-traditional ways and collaborate with those outside of academia.

Previous events organised by CBSS for Being Human include a collaging workshop to reimagine bodies, a story-telling workshop writing bed time stories, and film screenings that explore themes around organ transplantation and HIV.
