This research project is to investigate near-fatal asthma in children and young people in the UK and Ireland. This will be through a surveillance project run through the British Paediatric Surveillance Unit. There will be integration with routinely collected data through a safe haven database for pollution, pollen and deprivation indices for cases identified.
