Background

After graduating with an MSc in Anaesthesia Practice at the University of Edinburgh, Lindsay began working as an Anaesthesia Associate within NHS Lothian. In 2016 Lindsay commenced the role as Academic Co-ordinator for the online learning programme, MSc Clinical Management of Pain. In October 2019, she began working on the MSc in Critical Care.  

Lindsay currently divides her working week between her academic position at the University of Edinburgh and her clinical responsibilities as an Anaesthesia Associate within NHS Lothian. She is based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and works in general, vascular, gynaecological and orthopaedic surgery.

She is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has expertise in the delivery of Masters programmes by online learning with specific interest in clinical education and the delivery of online education, programme development and course structure.

In addition Lindsay is the Senior Tutor for Postgraduate Taught for the Deanery of Clinical Sciences.
