Ruth Thompson

Ruth is an Administrator for the Edinburgh Critical Care Research Group.

Background

Ruth’s previous experience has been the private sector supporting Executives in the finance industry with a team of assistants across Edinburgh and London.  She then moved into Learning & Development to project manage events and training courses globally as well as communicating the full L&D catalogue to the 3000 strong department.  With a special interest in Health and Wellbeing among teams; developed and promoted events and learning within the dept.  To encourage culturally appropriate wellbeing for teams overseas, encouraged global advocates to promote their own wellbeing projects.

In December 2020, as part of the Covid response, she joined the Edinburgh Critical Care Research Group as administrator.  Using all of her project managing experience to help the research team improve future patient care.
