Lucy Barclay is a Senior Research Nurse in the Edinburgh Critical Care Research Group .
Lucy gained a Diploma of Higher Education in Nursing (Adult) from Napier University, Edinburgh in 2002. She has spent most of her career as a staff nurse in Critical Care in The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. She gained a BSc in Nursing (Adult) in 2012. While furthering her education she developed an interest in research and was pleased to have the opportunity to join the Edinburgh Critical Care Research Group (ECCRG) in August 2015 as a research Co-ordinator.
Lucy is currently working with the team comparing infection surveillance programmes from the USA and Europe, focusing on Ventilator Associated Pneumonias.
