Promotions for Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine staff.

Mike Gillies awarded title of Honorary Professor and David Griffith promoted to Reader.

I’m delighted to let you know that the University of Edinburgh has conferred the title of Honorary Professor on Mike Gillies for his contribution to critical care and perioperative care research during his time in Edinburgh.

In addition, David Griffith has been promoted to Reader within the University, recognising his tremendous contributions to undergraduate teaching, the new Critical Care Masters, and his research programme.

This is brilliant recognition for Mike and David, and a reflection of the achievements and status of Edinburgh Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine. I’m sure you will all join me congratulating them both.
