Largest Intake of Clinicians as MSc in Critical Care Programme Enters Third Year

The online MSc in Critical Care is offered in partnership between the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and The University of Edinburgh. The programme has attracted doctors, nurses, paramedics and allied health professionals from all over the world this year and sees its largest intake to date.

The MSc in Critical Care team are evolving and have recently welcomed new team members, Dr Tom Craven (Year 3 Dissertation Lead), Dr Gilly Fleming (Clinical Lead) and Dr Paula Smith (Deputy Director).

Dr Graham Nimmo has stepped down from the Programme Director role which he has shared with Dr David Griffith since 2017. David will continue as Programme Director whilst Graham will take on the new role of Professional Development Lead.

Graham has been instrumental in the design and development of the MSc and will remain actively involved providing leadership for the programme’s massive online course (MOOC) and continuing professional development (CPD) offerings building on the huge success of the Covid-19 Critical Care MOOC.
