Gareth is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh an Honorary Consultant in Emergency Medicine at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh and an Associate Medical Director at the Scottish Ambulance Service. He leads the Resuscitation Research Group (RRG) based in the Queen’s Medical Research Institute at the University of Edinburgh. The main focus of the RRG team is improving survival by helping to deliver Scotland’s Strategy for Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest, including the Save a Life for Scotland partnership. RRG is known for its subversive attitude, irreverent sense of humour, and dogged pursuit of ways to
“save lives, have fun, and be awesome”.
