Chaplaincy

The Chaplaincy offers pastoral care for students and staff regardless of their religious affiliation.

It offers support and someone to talk to, help in time of a crisis, and links with specialist sources of help.

University Chaplain - Harriet Harris

Harriet was previously a university chaplain and tutor in Oxford, and before that a lecturer in theology at the University of Exeter. She greatly values the nurturing of spiritual life and social responsibility in environments of learning, and in contexts where people are being stretched and developed on many different fronts.

As well as being an Episcopalian priest, Harriet frequently participates in ecumenical and interfaith talks and initiatives. She writes on fundamentalism, religious knowing and qualities of character, and she serves on theological committees, formerly for the Church of England, and now for the Scottish Episcopal Church.
