Human Resources is made up of four business facing teams and a central team of functional specialists.
The Human Resources Community comprises four business facing teams supporting each of the three Colleges and the Support Groups, and a central team of functional specialists University HR Services (UHRS) with expertise in employee and union relations and employment policy (including compliance), equality and diversity, reward, systems and management information, resourcing and learning and development. The HR Executive, which oversees the People Strategy and People Plan, includes the Heads of the four business facing teams together with the HR Director and two Deputy Directors from UHRS.
We aim to work as a single integrated team delivering high quality HR services across the University and applying the following principles to all that we do:
- Simplification - ensuring that policies and processes are easy to access, easy to use and easy to understand
- Facilitation - providing HR support that is focused on understanding business problems and providing practical solutions
- Anticipation – adopting a planned approach to managing projects and providing solutions that are “future fit”
