Cycle Training

The University provides a range of cycle training to staff and students.

Starting in Summer 2022, we are pleased to working in partnership with The City of Edinburgh Council and Edinburgh's FHE sector to deliver a new comprehensinve program of cycle training. There are a wide range of courses available, with something for cyclists of all levels - from absolute beginners, to experienced commuters.

All courses are delivered by City of Edinburgh Council Outdoor Education staff. These courses are open to all staff and students at The University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Napier University, Heriot-Watt University, Queen Margaret University, and Edinburgh College.

This programme of cycle training has been funded by City of Edinburgh Council and supported by SP Energy Networks’ Green Economy Fund. This project will help students and staff to improve their cycling, helping Scotland reach its the ambitious climate change targets, to boost local low carbon transport, to improve air quality in our cities and to deliver a better future, quicker.
