In the course of our Business Travel project to date, we have come to realise that to address these emissions we need to work with partners across the higher education sector.

Because of this, we are leading a network of over 85 global institutions who are currently working to address business travel emissions within their own institutions. This network is called the Roundtable of Sustainable Academic Development.

So far the network includes institutes from 20 different countries, including Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Republic of Ireland.

This collaborative approach supports the sharing of ideas, establishes the scale of business travel emissions within the sector, and offers a platform for open discussion on this challenging topic.

Currently, the network is developing a number of online workshops and discussion groups. The network is open to any higher education institution interested in addressing business travel within their setting.
