Student project grants

The Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability, in partnership with the Edinburgh University Students' Association, manages the 'Student Project Grant' to support student-led projects focusing on sustainability and social responsibility.

The Social Responsibility and Sustainability Student Project Grant provides small amounts of funding (up to £500) for student groups or societies looking to develop and implement projects around several themes: energy and carbon, fair trade, food and drink, resource efficiency, sustainable learning and teaching and sustainable travel.

2017/18

Project grant recipients' posters were displayed at the Sustainability Awards ceremony, where some of the student groups were also awarded student Sustainability Awards.

2016/17

Project grant recipients produced posters that were displayed at the Sustainability Awards ceremony.

2015/16

In 2015/16 we were delighted to award funding to seven projects. These cover a wide range of sustainability issues including food, renewable energy, education, energy efficiency and awareness raising.
