Edinburgh students recognised at Environmental Enterprise Programme Awards
The Environmental Enterprise Placement Awards celebrate the achievements of students and graduates within businesses across Scotland.
Bright Green Business offer students and graduates the opportunity to work within organisations and companies across Scotland on sustainability related projects.
Hosted at Scottish Parliament, the five shortlisted placement students presented about their placements before a panel of judges from local organisations such as Beyond Green, Edinburgh College and Changeworks.
Two students who undertook placements with us in 2019 were shortlisted for the Environmental Placement Programme Awards run by Bright Green Business.
Congratulations to the other shortlisted finalists and Kevin Mathew for receiving 'Most Enterprising Environmental Intern 2019' for his work as the Campus Cycling Officer at the University of Aberdeen.
Jasmine Hussain: College of Science and Engineering Sustainability Assistant
Jasmine Hussain, now an Environmental Sustainability MSc student, undertook an eight week long internship to assess the environmental footprint of the College of Science and Engineering.

James Conway: Festival Sustainability and Plastics Assistant
James Conway is a Sustainable Development student, and his eight week long internship focused on making the Edinburgh Festival Fringe more sustainable and looking at alternatives to single-use plastic in venues.
