Beyond Sustainability: Cows and Climate Change- Holistic Management talk

Join Christopher Cooke and Sheila Cooke from Land and Livestock Management for Life (3LM), the UK hub of the Savory Network, to talk to us about regenerative agriculture and how careful management using grazing ruminants could rebuild our soils- sequestering carbon, reducing flooding and reviving entire ecosystems.

As part of the business travel project, the Department of Social Responsibility and Sustainability (SRS) are supporting the Edinburgh Farm Animal Veterinary Society (EFAVS) to live-stream their upcoming event on regenerative agriculture.

EFAVS are delighted to welcome Christopher Cooke and Sheila Cooke from Land and Livestock Management for Life (3LM), the UK hub of the Savory Network, to talk about regenerative agriculture and how careful management using grazing ruminants could rebuild our soils- sequestering carbon, reducing flooding and reviving entire ecosystems. There are many different views on what future sustainable diets and agriculture will look like, with few claiming ruminant production could be not just sustainable but essential for food security and the environment.

This talk is open to all University staff and students, and is taking place in Lecture Theatre 1 within the Veterinary Teaching Building, Easter Bush (EH25 9RG) from 5pm - 6pm on Thursday 2 May, 2019.

If you are unable to attend in person, this event will be available online to Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVM&S) students and Staff at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary studies via the Learn platform.
