Climate Week (Monday 18 - Friday 22 September 2017) aims to raise awareness of and inspire action on climate change. Take part in one of a number of events happening across campus.

Transition Edinburgh: launch of "Pathways to zero carbon Edinburgh"
Tuesday 19 September, 6 - 8pm
Room G.0X, 50 George Square
Transition Edinburgh is a community-led organisation that strives for a greener, fairer, healthier and more resilient Edinburgh. Staff and students are warmly invited to the public launch of a new resource to illustrate how Edinburgh could achieve zero carbon by 2040. Refreshments provided.
Screening of "Power to Change"

Can our entire energy supply do without fossil fuels and nuclear power? This multi-award-winning film takes the audience on a journey through the world of renewable energy sources and meets the individuals fighting for a wholly-sustainable energy supply.
Plant a pot and grow herbs with the Vegetarian Society
Wednesday 20 September, 5:30 - 7:30pm
Room 2.06, Appleton Tower
Veg Soc will be hosting a drop-in session to highlight the importance of growing your own food and shopping locally in order to reduce your carbon footprint. Come along and paint a biodegradable plant pot, plant some seeds and take your finished product away with you.There will be refreshments and great company, and a chance to learn more about the society!
