Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Honorary Clinical Seniior Lecturer in Surgery
Mr Chalmers main clinical and research interests lie in the fields of complex aortic aneurysm disease, carotid artery surgery, lower limb ischaemia and venous disease.
Appointments and Activities
Mr Chalmers is Director of the Scottish National Service for Thoraco-abdominal Aneurysm Surgery.
His early surgical training was gained in South East Scotland prior to a research fellowship in the United States and he completed Senior Registrar training at St Mary’s Hospital, London.
He has published over 80 journal articles and 22 book chapters.
