Our self-contained unit at the Western General Hospital treats more than 20,000 women annually.

We diagnose and treat about 840 breast cancers each year.

Location

The Edinburgh Breast Unit is situated in the Oncology Block at the Western General Hospital (WGH).

We are a self-contained unit consisting of its own ward, operating theatres and major clinic area. The unit also has its own radiography department.

We provide specialist services to Lothian and are linked to a satellite unit at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, Fife.
