Publication Orders Notice

This notice explains how we (The University of Edinburgh) use any personal information we collect about you when you register to receive more information about studying at the University of Edinburgh.

By registering for this service, we collect, retain and use of your personal information in accordance with the terms of this policy.

Collection of information

We are collecting your information on the basis of legitimate interest. We collect information about you when you order a printed copy of one of our publications and if you opt in to receive more information about undergraduate study at Edinburgh. Your information will be collected and held by our designated fulfilment partner who will use it to send you the publications and information you have requested. Only the University of Edinburgh and our designated fulfilment partner will have access to your information.

Retention of information

Your information will be retained for two years.

How we will use your information

Your information is used to send your requested printed material. If you have requested further communications, the information you provide may be used to send you further printed materials or electronic communications about the University of Edinburgh, the degree programmes we offer and our services.

We may also contact you to conduct market research and quality assurance checks, for example, we may ask you about your satisfaction with the information we provide and your experience of the admission process.

Unsubscribing

You can opt out from further communications at any point by contacting us directly at communications.office@ed.ac.uk, at the address below, or by unsubscribing via any email communications you receive from us.

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of this information, please email us at communications.office@ed.ac.uk

We want to make sure that your information is accurate and up to date. You may also ask us to correct or remove any information you think is inaccurate.
