Travelling between campuses
You can travel between our campuses on foot, using public transport or using our free shuttle bus service for some campuses.
Open Day campuses
The Open Day activities on Monday 17 June will take place across various areas:
- Central campus (Bristo Square/George Square)
- Easter Bush (Veterinary Medicine)
- Edinburgh BioQuarter (Medicine)
- Holyrood campus
- King’s Buildings campus
- New College
- Pollock Halls (accommodation)

Shuttle buses
Central campus to King's Buildings campus
A free Open Day shuttle bus service will run between the Central campus (Buccleuch Place, Postcode EH8 9JS) and the King's Buildings campus for all Open Day visitors to use.
This will operate between 9:00 - 16:30, approximately every 10 - 15 minutes, with a journey time of about 15 minutes.
The planned times of the first and last buses are included in the Open Day programme and below.

Please allow plenty of time to get between campuses, as the shuttle buses can become busy and there may not be space on a particular bus you plan to take.
Medicine and Veterinary Medicine
Shuttle bus services will also run to and from our Medical School at the Edinburgh BioQuarter, and Veterinary Medicine at the Easter Bush campus. An advance booking for these shuttle bus options should be made when registering for the Open Day, or can be added to your booking using the ticket link in your confirmation email.
Walking directions
Some Open Day activities take place a short walk from our Central campus.
Walking to Pollock Halls (accommodation)
A selection of rooms are open at our Pollock Halls accommodation for visitors to view on the Open Day.
Pollock Halls is approximately 15 - 20 minutes' walk from Bristo Square / George Square (Central campus). The location is included in your online ticket, and walking directions can be found in the Open Day programme.
From the King's Buildings campus it takes approximately 30 minutes to walk to Pollock Halls.
Walking to Pleasance Gym or Holyrood Campus
Sports facilities at the Pleasance Sport Complex & Gym are open to visitors to tour on the Open Day.
The gym is approximately 10 minutes' walk from Bristo Square / George Square (Central campus).
