We're delighted you're interested in learning British Sign Language!

  • If you have no previous experience of the language, please wait to enrol on a Beginners Step 1 course when available.
  • If you have some level of knowledge above Beginners Step 1, and need help choosing your level, please email languagesforall-BSL@ed.ac.uk for advice.
  • Further descriptions of the CEFR framework and competencies at each level can be found on our Language Levels pages.

British Sign Language Beginners Step 3

  • Wednesday, 19 Apr (17:30-19:00) 10 weeks

 

British Sign Language Elementary Step 2

  • Tuesday, 18 Apr (17:30-19:00) 10 weeks

Courses will close for booking 8 days before the course start date. Book early to secure your place and avoid disappointment!

Learn BSL for Credit

British Sign Language is also available to all University of Edinburgh students (undergraduate and postgraduate) as a credit course.
